Good News! - Stamp Duty Land Tax Relief for First Time Buyers.
On 24 March 2010, the Chancellor announced in his budget that Stamp Duty will no longer apply for "first time buyers" purchasing property up to a value of £250,000. This is a saving of up to £2,500. It applies to purchases completing on or after 25th March 2010 and up to 25th March 2012.
