JMD Law
Funding

Don't be put off by legal fees - we shall try as best we can not to make them an obstacle by exploring a whole host of funding options right from the start which we will consider with you without charge.  These include:

Paying privately

Our charges are very competitive.  They are either based on the time spent on your case and the experience of the Solicitor dealing with it or on a fixed fee basis.  For Employees requiring advice on Compromise Agreements, it is customary for the Employer to pay your legal fees.

"No-win, No-fee" - But beware the small print of others!

These are agreements we enter with you so that if you lose your case you pay us nothing.  But our agreements go further because they work so that even if you win you don't pay us anything (subject to some simple terms and conditions); we make no deductions for anything and what you are awarded is what you receive.  We get paid by your opponent.  But be careful of others advertising these agreements.  "No win No fee" implies there is a fee if you win and we know of lots of other organisations who charge this.  JMD LAW was one of the first and still remains committed to ensuring clients keep all of what they are awarded.  These agreements are very common in Accident Compensation claims and all sorts of other cases where court proceedings may be necessary. We have also been using them for some years in Commercial Litigation.

Legal Aid (now called Public Funding)

The government pays our fees if your case has merits and you are financially eligible.

Legal Expenses Insurance

A simple insurance policy may pay your legal expenses.

Payments

We accept payment by Cash (with some limitations), Cheque, Bank Telegraphic Transfer and all major Credit Cards.  Ask about our monthly standing order scheme.

Please note: If you are worried about legal fees, let JMD Law explore your concerns with you first - you are under absolutely no obligation and our consultation will be free.  We believe in equal access to justice and will try everything we can to make that work for you.
